Title: The Map of Tiny Perfect Things (2021)

Rating: 4/5 Stars

Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 76% Critic, 72% Audience

Overview:

Two teens locked in a time loop must figure out how to move forward with their lives when time won’t move forward for them.  The intrepid adventures try to make the most of the time they’ve been given… and given…and given.

Best element:

The genuine heart in this film makes it a beautiful watch.  It is uplifting and funny without being pretentious or overly emotional.  It balances its action well, and the characters are so likable and compelling.  It is well written and well rendered.

Short falls:

They do linger in the between moments when there isn’t solid action pushing the movie forward, especially when Mark’s trick doesn’t work, and he finds himself without Margaret, the show lingers to convey his character development and Margaret’s influence on him, but it slows in this moments, and others of the ilk.

Recommendations/ Similar works: I would recommend Before I Fall, Broken Hearts Gallery, and Midnight Sun.
